The Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB is a premium T8 linear fluorescent bulb crafted by specialists in Germany. It emits a moderate level of UVB, ideal for reptiles with lower UVB needs in shorter or shallower terrariums.
Usage Guidelines:
Mount the 18″ Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB in a 20″ Zoo Med ReptiSun T8 Terrarium Hood and position it above the basking zone. This bulb is most effective for low-UVB reptiles in wide terrariums measuring approximately 30-36″ in length.
Ensure consistent UVB performance by replacing the Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB every 6 months. For optimal monitoring, pair it with a Zoo Med Digital UV Index Radiometer or a Solarmeter 6.5.

Distance is calculated from the bulbs tip to the basking spot or reptile. UVI values are estimates and may decrease by 30-40% when the bulb is placed over a mesh screen.
